On 11 May 2021, Crouch was found dead in her home near Athens aged 20. Her body was discovered after her husband, Babi Anagnostopoulos, reported the crime to the police.

She was found in her bed in Athens next to her 11-month-old daughter, after being suffocated as she slept.

Her child was found to be unharmed after the incident.

Anagnostopoulos, 33, initially told the officers that his wife had been killed by a gang of foreign burglars during a robbery at their home. Anagnostopoulos said that he and Crouch were both tied up.

However, after a lengthy investigation, the police said his story did not add up.
