Who is the cast of Netflix’s Ginny and Georgia season 2? Including Brianne Howey and Antonia Gentry

Fans have been hungry for the second season of Ginny and Georgia after the first instalment of the Netflix comedy-drama show left them wanting to know what happens after Ginny finds out about her murderous mother.

Initially released in February 2021, viewers were met with a cliffhanger between the two characters played by Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey respectively, as it was revealed Georgia Miller killed Ginny’s step-father to protect her. The second season is now available on Netflix

The truth came to light after the young family had engrained themselves into life in Massachusetts, alongside Ginny’s younger half-brother Austin and town folk the Bakers and Mayor Paul Randolph.

As the two leading ladies return to our screens, PeopleWorld takes a look at who else is set to feature in the sequel season of Ginny and Georgia:

Antonia Gentry

Antonia is an American actress born in Atlanta, Georgia on 25 September 1997 who has featured in a few small productions other than her starring role in the Netflix series.

While she rose to prominence as Ginny, Antonia has credits in romantic comedy feature film Candy Jar and an episode of Superhero show Raising Dion.

Antonia wanted to be an actress from the age of five, gaining her first experience of acting in plays that her mother wrote for the local community theatre, before going on to study drama at Emory University and John S Davidson Fine Arts school.

Since then, Antonia has clinched a nomination for Best Breakthrough Performance in the 2021 MTV Awards.

Brianne Howey

Brianne Howey took inspiration from her childhood when taking on the role of Georgia as the American actress was born and raised in California to her young and single mother.

Moving across the country to New York for university, Brianne studied theatre and starred in three student films before pursuing a professional career.

Brianne has starred in television shows such as 90210, Batwoman and The Exorcist as well as movies including Horrible Bosses 2 and Plus One.

Brianne married lawyer Matt Zeiring in 2021 after having to cancel their wedding once due to Covid-19 - the pair met in a Los Angeles bar following Matt’s California bar exam.

Felix Mallard

While Felix Mallard may have rose to stardom through acting work in Ginny and Georgia, Locke and Key, Neighbours and Happy Together, the Australian actor has also worked as a model and musician.

Felix made his acting debut at the age of 15 in the Australian soap opera Neighbours before moving to the United States in 2018 to focus on his career, where he famously crashed on Harry Styles’ couch.

A master of all trades, Felix won two bronze medals for fencing at state and national levels after taking up the sport at ten-years-old.

As previously mentioned, Felix is a talented musician who can play piano, drums and guitar as well as sing, as seen from his work as frontman to punk rock band Enemies Alike.

Scott Porter

Georgia’s new fiance Mayor Paul Randolph is portrayed by Scott Porter who may be recognised from his work in Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife and Hart of Dixie.

Real name Matthew Scott Porter was born in Nebraska and attended school in Florida, where he played as a receiver in football.

Alongside acting and football, Scott can sing as seen in his performance in Bandslam (with Vanessa Hudgens) in addition to singing in an a capella group called VocalPlay.

Scott married casting director and former cheerleader Kelsey Mayfield in April 2013 after meeting her on the set of Friday Night Lights. The pair share a son called McCoy Lee and a daughter, Clover Ash.

Jennifer Robertson

Fans of massively popular TV show Schitt’s Creek were very excited to recognise the face of Jennifer Roberston in Ginny and Georgia season one as Ellen Baker. For this role, Jennifer learnt sign language.

Canadian actress Jennifer played Jocelyn Schitt for which she was nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards and two SAGAs, for which she won one, and has also gained credits in Comedy Inc and Twitches among others.

Jennifer gained further recognition for her work writing and starring in comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

The popular actress is the daughter of Bob Robertson, who is part of comedy duo Double Exposure, and has a daughter of her own.

The second season of Ginny and Georgia landed on Netflix on January 5 2023.
