Haris Foden? Love Island viewers make comparisons between Haris and football Phil Foden after first broadcast

If Maya Jama’s black dress wasn’t enough to get Love Island viewers talking since its return to ITV2 over the weekend, perhaps the uncanny resemblance between one of the Islanders and an English football talent has become the talk of the reality series so far.

Islander Haris Namani has been turning heads since joining the rest of the Islanders in the South African villa due to his resemblance to England and Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden, complete with a tight fade and distinguished cheekbones.

By his own admission, the 21 year old TV salesman stated that, ‘My mum always tells me I look like (Cristiano) Ronaldo, and I’ll always take that,’ before venturing into South Africa. However, social media users have instead been dead set in their belief Haris is more a Phil Foden than a CR7.

Fans of Love Island took to Twitter to seek confirmation from other viewers what they think they can see, and for some it’s now a case of not being able to un-see it. Some of the more amusing comments from the community included calling Haris a “BTEC Phil Foden”, “Haris looks more like Harry Maguire and Phil Foden’s love child than Ronaldo” and comparisons order Phil Foden from Wish and instead getting Haris.

It led to ourselves at Peopleworld taking a look at some other celebrities that mirror other A-Listers, given how eerily similar both Haris and Phil Foden look. Admittedly, we can see a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo in his smile, so his mum is not completely wrong.
