Channel 4 enlists Louie Spence and boxer Connor Benn for new celebrity series of SAS: Who Dares Wins
Channel 4 has recruited polar opposite celebrities to stand toe-to-toe in a new series of SAS: Who Dares Wins
Conor Benn, 27, and Louie Spence will join the seventh season of the celebrity edition of the Channel 4 show.
Participants such as Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, X Factor's Lucy Spraggan, and Drag Race's Bimini Bon Boulash are also taking on the challenge to impress the DS team: Chief Instructor Rudy Reyes, Chris Oliver, Billy Billingham, and Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox. Boxer Benn, the son of Nigel Benn, and Pineapple Dance Studios icon Spence will also be part of the group.
The show sees celebrities pushed to the brink of their physical and mental capabilities with challenges akin to the basic training that all new SAS recruits have to complete.
Speaking to the Sun, an insider said: “C4 bosses feel like they have got a really great mix for Celeb SAS this year. Where else would you get Conor Benn and Louie Spence in the same line-up?
“It won't air until next year as Celeb SAS always films a year in advance but word from the set is that it's TV gold.”
Benn is a professional boxer who has faced controversy in recent years. The athlete failed a drugs test after testing positive for clomifene twice in 2022. He was banned from boxing, but the ban was lifted in July 2023 before being reinstated in May this year.
Meanwhile, Spence is renowned for his dancing talent, having gained fame from Pineapple Dance Studios in 2010. This isn't Spence’s first appearance on a reality TV show - having also participated in Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Big Brother, The Jump, Tour de Celeb, Celebs on the Farm, and Celeb Cooking School.
