Legends of Tomorrow follows a time travelling band of antiheroes flitting through history and saving humanity wherever they can. Picture Doctor Who, but grungier.

Season six found the Legends in Texas in 1925, with captains Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe finally getting married and saving Earth from an alien invasion.

What is the plot of Legends of Tomorrow season 7?

Season seven begins with the crew’s ship, a Waverider being blown up by another Waverider from the future, leaving them stranded in Odessa.

The Legends travel to New York to find an inventor, Dr. Gwyn Davies, who may be able to hook them up with a primitive time machine.

With the unknown enemies who blew up their ship on their tail, this season will take the Legends across America, into the Second World War and through (literal) Hell.

When will Legends of Tomorrow season 7 be released in the UK?

The seventh season aired in the US in October 2021 but there has been a long wait for UK fans to see the series.

Season seven will begin airing in the UK on Sky on 30 March at 8pm.

All episodes from seasons 1-6 are currently available to watch on Sky.

Who is in the cast?

Season seven sees the return of many regular cast members and the debut of a major new character.

Caity Lotz as Sara Lance

Sara is co-captain of the ill-fated Waverider and will spend season seven travelling the States in chasing after time travel tech.

Lotz has previously starred as the same character in other DC projects The Flash, Batwoman, Supergirl, and Arrow, of which Legends of Tomorrow is a spin off.

She has also played Stephanie in Mad Men, and officer Kirsten Landry in Death Valley.

Tala Ashe as  Zari Tarazi

Season seven will see Zari take on the role of captain for the first time, and also deal with racism as she is stuck in 1925.

Ashe has previously played Anna Stone in war series Odyssey, and R.J. Quigley in Broadway series Smash.

Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe

Ava is the other co-captain of of the Waverider and wife of Sara. She is stranded along with the other Legends after her ship is destroyed and searches for a way to escape 1925.

Macallan made a brief appearance as Tammy in the American version of Shameless, and played Josslyn Carverin the thriller series Mistresses.

Olivia Swann as Astra Logue

Astra causes a major headache for the Legends when she accidentally animates Gideon, the consciousness designed to operate the Waverider, in human form.

This season also sees Astra begin a relationship with Behrad Tarazi, the younger brother of Zari.

Legends of Tomorrow is Swann’s second screen credit - she appeared in an episode of Doctors in 2018.

Adam Tsekhman as Gary Green

Gary Green is an alien who takes on human form and, a former agent of the Time Bureau.

In season seven, Gary will help the other Legends track down Dr. Davies and embark on a relationship with Gideon.

Tsekhman has starred in several short films and as Yuri Petrov in Six, a series about a navy SEALs operation in Afghanistan.

Matt Ryan as Dr Gwyn Davies

Dr. Davies is a new character central to the seventh season of the show.

He is a scientist and pioneer of time travel who previously fought in the First World War. When the Legends encounter Davies he works to help them get back to their own time.

Ryan also plays John Constantine in the series.

Ryan has played Constantine in The Flash, Constantine: City of Demons, Arrow, and Batwoman.

His other roles include playing Joe O’Hara in The Halcyon and Mick Rawson in Criminal Minds.
