As their new reality show, 'Gemma and Gorka: Behind The Lens' begins, did Gemma Atkinson date Ronaldo?

There is something so refreshingly honest about actress Gemma Atkinson, which is undoubtedly one of the reasons why I follow her on Instagram. All too often her followers are trying to mum-shame her for no legitimate reason and Gemma always has something witty and pertinent to retort back. 

In her new reality show with partner Gorka Marquez, Gemma and Gorka: Behind The Lens, the couple not only discuss their relationship but Gemma’s maternal instincts too. “I wasn’t even maternal until I met Gorka,” Gemma explains. “And then I met him and I thought, Oh I could have a family with this one.”

The couple met when Gemma appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017. She was not paired with Gorka, but rather Aljaz Skorjanec, but the pair soon formed a romantic connection and started dating shortly afterwards.

 Before dating Gorka, Gemma’s previous relationships were with former 'Emmerdale' actor Cleveland Campbell and footballer Marcus Bent and was engaged to 'Britain's Got Talent' star Liam Richards. Gemma also dated Cristiano Ronaldo and according to The Mirror, “Despite being one of the biggest football stars in the world, Gemma hilariously admitted to Manchester’s Key 103 radio that they went on a very laid-back date.”

The Mirror goes on to say that  Gemma said: "We went to my house and drank cups of tea and watched Only Fools and Horses. Genuinely!

"I don't know if he's into it now but he seemed to enjoy it.”
