Dave Myers and Si King will travel around the North of England to create the ultimate Christmas dinner

The Hairy Bikers are back on our screens with some delicious recipes just in time for Christmas.

Dave Myers and Si King have put a festive spin on their Go North series, which sees them explore the Northern English countryside in search of the best regional recipes.

The Christmas special will see the boys put together an untraditional but delicious meal for their families - but where exactly do they go and what recipes are featured on the show?

Where do the Hairy Bikers go in Go North for Christmas?

Dave and Si will travel across the Pennines to collect Christmas inspiration and meet northern food producers to inspire their ultimate three-course meal.

Their adventure will see them visit the Lancashire-Yorkshire border, Darlington, Bollington in Cheshire, Sheffield and Doncaster.

The boys, who both hail from opposite sides of the coast, will meet with their families to take part in a festive celebration and host their three-course meal just outside Bolton in an impressive country home.

What recipes do The Hairy Bikers make on Go North for Christmas?

Dave and Si will begin by creating a roast pork main and a sausage, chestnut and prune Christmas stuffing.

They will also create the unusual turkey doner kebab starters and also some gourmet marshmallows for dessert.

On their travels, they will visit producers of Christmas puddings and specially selected charcuterie boards.

When is The Hairy Bikers Go North For Christmas on?

Fans will be able to catch the show at 8pm on Wednesday 22 December on BBC2.

The show will be able to be watched live on iPlayer at the same time and will be available for catch up on the streaming service after it has aired.
