The finale of second season of the post-apocalyptic wasteland drama is rapidly approaching, with the final episode in the series set to hit screens on Wednesday for UK-based viewers.
The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and Maximus (Aaron Moten) have breached The Strip in New Vegas, with Maximus taking on the deathclaws with the help of some NCR armour. The Ghoul on the other hand has made his way to the Lucky 38 casino, the former home of Robert House, where he has been greeted by the RobCO CEO on a screen after activating it with the cold fusion sample.
Meanwhile, Lucy (Ella Purnell) has resolved to shut down the chip’s mainframe and free the people who are currently being controlled by her dad, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan). Upon opening the vault to the mainframe, she had discovered that it is connected to Dianne Welch’s severed head.
With many questions and loose ends to be tied up still, fans are looking forward to the season two finale of Fallout. But what about the future of the show?

Is Fallout returning for season three?
The good news for Fallout fans is that Amazon has already confirmed that Fallout will be returning to screens for a third season. The confirmation came back in May 2025, more than six months before the second season even hit screens and only a month after the show’s first season was released.

When will Fallout season three be released?
As of yet, there has been no confirmation of when Fallout will return to screens. However, according to Production List, production on the season is expected to begin in May 2026.
As a result of this expected timeline, the earliest we can expect to see Fallout season three on our screens is 2027.
The second series of the show began in December 2024, with the first episode hitting screens on around a year later on December 16, 2025. If following this timeline, this would mean that, if production for season three takes roughly the same time, we may see season three on Prime Video from May 2027.
