In season four, Eve continues to pursue the Twelve, a sinister organisation of puppet masters who use assassins as trigger men, and which Villanelle was unwittingly a part of.
Villanelle starts season four at church, desperately trying to find a normal path in life. She tries to turn a new leaf and leave the life of an assassin behind her, in an effort to prove to herself that she has the capacity to change.
These parallel journeys are explored in season four, with Eve single minded on her revenge quest, and Villanelle battling between the darker part of her nature and her better angels.

Hide AdUnfortunately for fans of the series, season four will be the show’s last, however it may make a return in some other form in the future.
So while Killing Eve may wrap up in April, it’s a spin-off series set in the same universe and with some of the original cast may be in the offing.
Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC, previously said that he looked forward to “potential extensions of this compelling universe.”
Kim Bodnia, who plays Villanelle’s mentor in the series, told Metro that there was no right time to end the show and that he would not rule out returning for a fifth season.
