With reports Liz Truss might be next for I’m A Celeb, what other reality contests would we like to see her in?

Move over Matt Hancock, there's another member of the Conservative Party looking to reinvent themselves in the world of reality television. As fans of ITV’s smash-hit I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here were treated to a sneak peak of the location for the All-Star event in South African later in the year, bookmakers have tipped former Prime Minister Liz Truss to be a favourite to appear in the jungle.
That’s according to OLBG, the online betting community website, which has suggested that Truss has 25/1 odds, following on from the success of Matt Hancock’s appearance last year. She however has plenty of names ahead of her in the list of bookmakers favourites, though it is interesting to note that much like Hancock and George Galloway before her, it could provide an unusual platform to relaunch her career after earning notoriety for being the shortest reigning Prime Minister in UK political history.

Other names that have appeared in the top ten bookmakers favourites include Joe Lycett, Sam Thompson and TikTok celebrity Grace Keeling. Keeling was also a bookies favourite to be included in the last series of I’m A Celeb, but ultimately did not appear.
I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here generally runs for a period of three weeks, so if Liz Truss does join the next season and makes it all the way to the final day in the jungle, her time would equal nearly half of that of her time spent as leader of the United Kingdom. Hopefully if she does take part, she doesn't suffer a similar early fate that her political career experienced.
But Peopleworld have thought about Liz Truss’ potential involvement in reality television shows in the UK, and have thought of a couple of other suggestions that perhaps she could look at if things with the ITV producers don’t pan out…
Traitors
Perhaps if Liz doesn’t end up on I’m A Celeb, she’ll be more at home in the smash-hit BBC contest The Traitors. Her almost Machevellian rise to the top of the political landscape, at one time being a Liberal Democrat before becoming a fully fledged Tory in later life, would see her have all the necessary tools to survive the ruthless world of the BBC series?

BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing is no stranger to having political figures appear on the show; Ed Balls, Edwina Currie, Ann Widdecombe and Vince Cable have all graced the ballroom contest previously, which leaves the door open for Liz Truss to tango her way into our television screens once again on Saturday evening prime-time television.
We’re quite familiar with the nifty moves that Liz Truss is capable of - 49 days in office would demonstrate that she’s quick on her feet.
SAS: Who Dares Wins
Based on the real-life SAS (Special Air Service) selection process, which is known for being one of the toughest military training programs in the world, Channel 4’s reality contest SAS: Who Dares Wins might be ideal for Liz Truss given her ability to navigate and survive one of the most toughest landscapes in the land - the political landscape.
Contestants are put through gruelling challenges that test their endurance, teamwork, and ability to think under pressure; perhaps now we think about it, with those element put to the test, Truss might not be a good choice for the show.

Say what you want about Liz Truss, you can’t begrudge someone a shot at love, and though we know that she is happily married in the Peopleworld multiverse, we’re pretending she’s single and sassy. So why not have Liz Truss as a member of the Love Island villa in the future, should a celebrity iteration once again take place.
We might fall in love with Liz Truss as she pauses awkwardly during conversation awaiting a response, much like many of her campaign speeches in the run up to her win as leader of the Tory Party? Outside of the world of politics, could such fluster come across more as a charming Hugh Grant circa Four Weddings and a Funeral instead of a nervous sensation of her muddling up her words as the leader of a country?
Celebrity Total Wipeout
Because when you first started reading this article, a little part of you wondered what Liz Truss would be like in terms of obstacle courses - yes, much like those that she navigated during her political career. But there is no doubt a sect of people out there that would experience swathes of schadenfreude at the prospect of seeing Liz Truss plummeting into the water as she attempts the Total Wipeout course. Turn that into a political metaphor if you will - answer to the Peopleworld twitter account.
