It’s a sad day for Love Island fans as series eight winner Davide Sanclimenti has announced that he and Ekin-Su Culculoglu have split after 11 months together.

In an Instagram story, Davide wrote “Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.”

“I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible.”

The couple were last pictured together in matching black outfits, just a few days ago at the London Premiere for Indiana Jones and a Dial of Destiny. According to The Sun a source explained that the couple haven’t been ‘getting along for a while’ and despite their best efforts couldn't make it work and decided to ‘call it quits.’

Davide fuelled rumours the couple were on the rocks after posting a shirtless snap of himself hinting he could be heading back to the Love Island Villa. After leaving the Love Island villa the couple went on to film a travel series together ‘Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings’. Ekin-Su hasn't commented on the break-up yet but did share a story on her social media reunited with her mum and aunty.

Love Island Winners relationship timeline

Season 9 - Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan (Winter Love Island)

The winners of the second ‘Winter’ Love Island are still going strong after leaving the villa just a few months ago. The pair have been spotted out enjoying double date nights with with fellow Love Islanders Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.

Season 7 - Millie Court and Liam Readon

Millie and Liam were together for nearly a year before splitting due to the pressures of social media. But just nine months after the couple were seen together, before heading off on a holiday cruise and are reportedly back together.

Season 6 - Paige Turley and Finn Tapp (Winter Love Island)

Paige and Finn were the strongest couple of the series, never once letting their heads turn. In June 2023 the couple announced they had split after drifting apart; they were together three years and are still close friends.

Season 5 - Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea

Amber just didn’t seem to click with anyone until rugby player Greg came in as a latecomer just two weeks before the show ended. He won over Amber and the couple won but split just five weeks later. Greg was accused of using Amber just to win the prize money. Amber had a tough time dating since leaving the villa but found love with footballer Jen Beattie after announcing she was ‘switching sides’.

Season 4 - Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham

Dani and Jack were coupled together on day one and the perfect couple. Aside from the Casa Amour drama which left Dani thinking Jack’s head had been turned and  led 2,644 viewers to complain to Ofcom. The couple won the series and moved into together after leaving the show.

They sadly split four months later with Jack admitting the relationship moved too fast. The pair have both gone on to date other people and both became parents with Dani recently giving birth to twins with boyfriend footballer Jarrod Bowen.

Season 3 - Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay

Apart from Kem’s bromance with Chris Hughes (which many fans wanted the boys to win the show as a friendship couple), Amber and Kem as a real couple did have a strong connection and were the favourites to win from day one. The couple split after four months due to wanting different things. Chris and Kem released a TV series ‘You Vs Chris & Kem’ - which they should definitely bring back - whilst Amber went on to land her dream career working in the West End.

Season 2 - Cara Del a Hoyde and Nathan Massey

Cara and Nathan were another couple that were together from day one of entering the villa so it was no wonder they went on to the series. Sadly the couple shocked fans when they announced their split after nine months together. However the couple got back together after having their first child together. They went on to have another child and get married.

They are the most successful winning couple after being together for six years. Season two runners up Olivia and Alex Bowen also went on to get married and have a baby whilst third place contestant Kady McDermott is trying her luck again after heading back into the villa for the latest series

Season 1 - Jessica Hayes and Max Morley

Jessica was messed around in the villa and not Max’s first choice with fans wanting Jess to choose to take the money instead of sharing it with Max - remember when splitting the money was a thing. The couple split just six weeks after leaving the show. Jess went on to become a mum and social media influencer. Whilst Max went on to date other Love Islanders including former season two’s Miss GB Zara Holland and season four’ Laura Anderson as well as Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby.
