Love Island has revealed what their ‘type on paper’ is for the upcoming 2023 winter series as contestants arrive in South Africa, ahead of Monday's premiere.

The ITV show confirmed some of the people heading into the Cape Town villa on Instagram, including a ring girl, a TikTok personality with over one million followers and a biomedical student.

It comes as new host Maya Jama is set for her debut during the dating show’s launch on 16 January.

Since revealing the first ten villa guests, the Love Island bosses have also allowed viewers to have the power as they give fans the chance to vote for either a boy or a girl as the first bombshell of the season, for the first time.

As we prepare to hear the dulcet tones of Iain Sterling saying ‘Tonight…on Love Island,’ PeopleWorld takes a look at the January cast, including the two newly-announced potential bombshells:

Tanya Manhenga

Prior to Tanya being confirmed as a contestant, the 22-year-old biomedical student from Liverpool was one of the first to be rumoured as jetting off to the Cape Town villa.
