Love Island: Who are the two new bombshell contestants as ITV announces twist for 2023 season?

Love Island has revealed what their ‘type on paper’ is for the upcoming 2023 winter series as contestants arrive in South Africa, ahead of Monday's premiere.
The ITV show confirmed some of the people heading into the Cape Town villa on Instagram, including a ring girl, a TikTok personality with over one million followers and a biomedical student.

Hide AdIt comes as new host Maya Jama is set for her debut during the dating show’s launch on 16 January.
Since revealing the first ten villa guests, the Love Island bosses have also allowed viewers to have the power as they give fans the chance to vote for either a boy or a girl as the first bombshell of the season, for the first time.
As we prepare to hear the dulcet tones of Iain Sterling saying ‘Tonight…on Love Island,’ PeopleWorld takes a look at the January cast, including the two newly-announced potential bombshells:
Tanya Manhenga
Prior to Tanya being confirmed as a contestant, the 22-year-old biomedical student from Liverpool was one of the first to be rumoured as jetting off to the Cape Town villa.

Hide AdTanya has revealed she is looking for a relationship on the show, and has opened up about having vitiligo - which is a long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin. It's caused by the lack of melanin, which is the pigment in skin.
Kai Fagan


24-year-old Kai Fagan is a PE and science teacher from Manchester who has also played Rugby 7s for Jamaica, and currently plays semi-professional rugby for Burnage.
In terms of love, Kai said: “I’m looking for the right girl. I feel like I have quite high expectations. I don’t feel like I should commit to someone unless I’m absolutely buzzing over them, because it’s not fair on them."
Lana Jenkins
Luton-born makeup artist Lana Jenkins is made up to be heading to South Africa to hopefully find love.

As well as being a makeup guru working with celebrities, Lana has featured as an extra on TV show Benidorm after living in Spain at a young age.
Ron Hall
Ron becomes Love Island’s first partially-sighted contestant, who became blind in one eye after a football injury at the age of eight.
The 25-year-old financial advisor who heralds from Essex was going in for a header when he got kicked in the face.
Anna-May Robey
The youngest of the class of 2023 is Anna-May Robey, a 20-year-old payroll administrator from Swansea.

Hide AdThe Welsh beauty describes herself as ‘energetic’ and a ‘chatterbox’ who runs around all the time singing and dancing - no doubt a welcome energy to the Love Island villa.


Shaq Muhammad
Attention passengers, airport security officer Shaq Muhammad is flying out to Cape Town to try and find the lady of his dreams.
Shaq’s Love Island entry comes after the 24-year-old has not had the ‘best luck with previous relationships’ and is looking for ‘the person I hope to marry one day’.


Tanyel Revan
While Tanyel may have her sights set on Channing Tatum, the hairdresser from North London will hopefully find some magic in this year’s villa.

Will Young
Will the non-singing Will Young find love in Love Island? The chilled out farmer from Buckinghamshire has found it hard to balance life on the farm with his love life so is hoping to plant a few seeds from next week.
Many may recognise Will from his popular TikTok page Farmer Will which has accumulated a whopping 1.1 million followers from Will's humorous videos with his sheep.


Olivia Hawkins
Olivia Hawkins is a jack of all trades who has been a ring girl for KSI, acted as a waitress in Daniel Craig’s James Bond and been a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson.

Hide AdHowever, the 27-year-old from Brighton has never put a ring on it or even had a relationship, so is looking for her first and long-lasting partner on Love Island.
Haris Namani
TV salesman from Doncaster Haris Namani explained: “I’m different, I’m a unique guy, the way I act; confident, not awkward, especially with the girls. I’m friendly, I’m very respectful as well.”
So will Haris be able to sell himself to the ladies and the public on Love Island?
