Nicôle Lecky stars as Sasha, a wannabe singer and rapper who is kicked out by her family following a drunken argument, and must find her own way in the world of social media fame.

Mood has drawn comparisons with Fleabag and Chewing Gum for its portrayal of a young woman navigating the confusing and sometimes scary world of adulthood.

Much of the story is told through an original soundtrack, performed by Lecky, and it has proven immensely popular among fans of the show.

Which songs feature in Mood?

The soundtrack features original songs like Fire by Lecky, BackRoad Gee by Fear Nuttin’, and B Young by Wine.

Rather than writing parody songs, as are featured in many music dramas, Lecky wanted to showcase authentic music and create a soundtrack that could be enjoyed in its own right, outside of the show.

Reflecting Lecky’s East London background, grime, jungle, garage and drill all feature in the show.
