The four-part series, which adapts Louise Candlish’s novel of the same name, will air on consecutive nights for the rest of the week.
It follows Fiona Lawson, who arrives back at her home in London to find strangers moving in and her belongings no longer there. She thinks her home was sold accidentally and soon discovers her husband Bram is also missing.
The novel is based in the suburbs of London, but where was the TV adaptation filmed? Here’s everything you need to know
Where was Our House filmed?
The show was mainly shot around Dulwich, in South London and in the studio, where a replica of the house was built with every detail.
Additional Scenes were filmed at Leysdown-on-Sea, on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent.
Producer Tom Mullens went house hunting in the capital to find the perfect location for the show and eventually found the property in South London.
Speaking to the Daily Express, he said: “It was this time last year that we started our search on foot, lots of times, I got the steps up on my Fitbit, walking around London.
“We searched all over London, north, south, east, west, and funnily enough, we found a house in Dulwich overlooking Peckham Rye which in fact is not that far from where Louise [Candlish] had imagined the house when she wrote the book.
“And I think we saw this house and all of us knew immediately that we had our perfect location.
“Of course, it’s about the architecture, but it’s an aspirational home, but it also feels like a family home which is really important.
“I guess there’s always other elements you’re looking at like the room dimensions, can you film in there, do you have the right sort of access, but it was this magical double-fronted house which suited the show.”
Filming for the show began in the summer of 2021 and was completed a few months later, ready to air in March 2022.
Who stars in Our House?
Martin Compston, best known still for his role as Steve Arnott in Line of Duty, stars as Bram.
Tuppence Middleton stars as Fiona. Middleton is best-known for television sci-fi roles in Black Mirror, Electric Dreams, and Sense8, as well as film roles in period dramas Downton Abbey and Mank.
They’re joined by Rupert Penry-Jones (Whitechapel) as Fiona’s new partner Toby and Buket Komur (Honour) as Bram’s new partner Wendy. Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You) appears as Fiona’s best friend Merle.
