If you look up ‘Piers Morgan’ and ‘Boris Johnson’ online, you will often find the two names separated by the word ‘slams’ or ‘calls out’ as a result of their fairly negative relationship over the years.

Throughout Boris Johnson’s time in office as an MP and prime minister, Piers Morgan has continuously spoken out against him calling him ‘truly terrible,’, ‘boasting and blathering’ as well as a whole thesaurus of cynical adjectives.

Following Friday’s news that Boris resigned with immediate effect ahead of a Covid-19 inquiry as to whether he misled parliament, Piers has been having a field day on his TalkTV show Uncensored, slamming the former prime minister ahead of the weekend before lining up to talk to Nadine Dorries on Monday evening.

Piers shared the promotional poster on Twitter with the caption ‘Exclusive’, complete with a number of fire emojis, as well as sharing a clip of Rishi Sunak refusing to intervene in the honours list, commenting: “Wow!”

Twitter is normally the playing field between Piers Morgan and Boris Johnson as seen by previous exchanges such as Piers slamming Boris for ‘laughing’ in January 2022 over the Patygate scandal or condemning the Tory party for wanting to replace Liz Truss with Johnson once again.

It must be noted that Boris Johnson has not often commented on Morgan or reacted to comments, most likely due to his media training and job.

While Piers has been slamming Boris since before 2020, it came as a shock when he commended the former MP on his leadership during the Ukraine crisis, stating:

“I’ve been very critical of @BorisJohnson since he became UK Prime Minister, for fully justified reasons. But I will say this: his leadership during the Ukraine crisis has been increasingly impressive. We need more of this serious & focused Boris - less of the blathering buffoon.”

Unfortunately, the scales have not tipped in that favour as Piers has resumed criticising Boris in light of his resignation honours list that contains his former aides and allies as well as his decision to resign as MP before the Partygate scandal heads to enquiry.

You can watch Piers Morgan talk to Nadine Dorries, someone who was denied a peerage on Johnson’s honours list, at 8pm on Sky, AppleTV, Youtube or TalkTV.
