Richard Osman worked as Alex Armstrong’s ‘Pointless friend’ on the quiz show since it began airing back in 2009.

During the show, Richard would explain the categories to contestants and reveal which answers were worth the fewest points at the end of each round, including the coveted pointless answers.

What did Richard Osman say about Sally Lindsay?

During Sally’s appearance on Pointless, some fans noticed that was looking down at her laptop more often than Richard did when he was on the programme.

One viewer said: “Richard Osman always gave the appearance that he knew the information he was giving, Sally Lindsay is clearly just reading from a laptop.”

Richard also weighed in on Twitter, joking: "Wait, the laptop WORKS NOW????" and sharing an image of Sally looking at her screen.
