Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, son of renowned Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre, has pleaded guilty to the premeditated murder of his boyfriend, Edwin Arrieta Arteaga and now faces charges of premeditated murder and concealing and removing body parts to cover up the gruesome crime. The remains of the boyfriend were discovered by trash collectors at a landfill in Thailand.

The 29-year-old was apprehended and taken into custody last week, where he admitted guilt for the murder of Edwin Arteaga, his boyfriend. The crime's aftermath unveiled a grisly scene, with human remains scattered across various locations on Koh Phangan island in Thailand, where the incident occurred.

It was alleged that Arteaga's body had been dismembered as Bronchalo reportedly used a kayak to dispose of parts of the victim’s body at sea. Authorities have revealed disturbing evidence, suggesting that Bronchalo had premeditated the crime after he was observed purchasing knives, plastic bags, and cleaning products from local convenience stores on the island, underscoring the chilling extent of his planning.

Bronchalo's guilt plea comes amidst a backdrop of complex dynamics in his relationship with the victim - he informed Spanish news agency EFE that he felt held "hostage" by Arteaga and claimed that the latter was fixated on him. Only days before his confession, Bronchalo had filed a missing person report for Arteaga at a Koh Phangan police station.

As legal proceedings unfold, Bronchalo remains in custody in a Thai prison. While his father Rodolfo and the rest of the family continue to try and understand what led their son to commit the murder, Bronchalo’s legal representatives suggest that he is contemplative about what his future will now hold.
