TV chef Si King will be chatting about completing a special cookbook as a tribute to his best friend and cooking partner Dave Myers, who sadly died earlier this year. In February 2024 Dave lost his battle to cancer after he was diagnosed two years earlier in 2022.

The Hairy Bikers rose to fame as the comedy chef duo. Always cooking, smiling and laughing together. According to reports Si and Dave met back in 1995 met on the set of the TV drama The Gambling Man. They bonded over their love for motorcycles and food, a combination that would set them up for a career in TV cooking.

However, when they first met Dave Myers was the head of prosthetics, hair, and make-up, and Si was previously an assistant location manager on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and on the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Both careers were worlds away from the cooking shows they are now so well known for.
