Taskmaster series 13: new Channel 4 cast of contestants for 2022 season with Bridget Christie and Sophie Duker
The popular comedy competition show has wrapped for series 12 but fans are already looking towards the line up for the next series


Taskmaster has crowned a winner for series 12 but the hugely popular Channel 4 show has already revealed the cast for the newest series.
Series 12 saw Morgana Robinson crowned series champion after competing against Guz Khan, Desiree Burch, Alan Davies and Victoria Coren Mitchell for 10 weeks.

But who is destined to follow in the footsteps of Morgana and her fellow contestants?

The newest lineup was revealed shortly after the series 12 finale wrapped up.
Ardal O’Hanlon


Ardal is best well-known to audience as Father Dougal from the cult comedy Father Ted.
He is also known to audiences for his portrayal as DI Jack Mooney in hit BBC drama Death in Paradise.

Alongisde his acting credits, Ardal is an active stand-up comedian and can be found touring and performing across the country.
Bridget Christie


Alongside Ardal, Bridget Christie will also join the lineup.
The Glouchester comedian is well-known to stand-up fans, with her career spanning more than 15 years.
She won the prestegious Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for her 2013 show A Bic For Her.
Sophie Duker

Sophie Duker is another stand-up and writer hoping to be crowned the series 13 champion.
She is best-known for her appearances on comedy panel shows such as Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.
Sophie previously worked as an assistant producer on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and as a researcher on 8 out of 10 Cats.
In between her TV appearances, she tours the UK with her stand-up shows, including her debut 2018 show Diet Woke.
Chris Ramsey

Chris Ramsey is a recognisable face after his successful stint on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.
The stand-up placed fourth after reaching the semi-final of the competition show.
He is also known for his witty stand-up shows, as well as hosting the popular podcast Shagged Married Annoyed with his wife Rosie Winter.

Chris won’t be the only contestant to have put their dancing shoes on in the past.

Comedian Judi Love became a household name during her appearance on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
She is also known for her witty appearances on ITV’s Loose Women.
Who will host series 13 of Taskmaster?
Greg Davies and Alex Horne will return as the charismatic hosts of the series.
They have both been a mainstay since the show premiered in 2015 on Dave, and they will remain with the show.

Greg takes the chair as the ‘taskmaster’ with Alex passing along challenges to the contestants.
When will series 13 air?
Fans have been clamouring for the newest series since series 12 wrapped.
Now Channel 4 have revealed that they won’t have to wait very long to see the new team of contestants compete.
The first episode of series 13 will air at 9pm on Thursday, April 14.

It will air on Channel 4 as normal and will also be available on All4 shortly after.
Episodes are shown weekly in the same time slot.
A second series of Taskmaster: Champion of Champions is due to air later this year also.
Who won Taskmaster series 12 and who are some previous champions?
Morgana Robinson took home the prize as series champion for series 12.
She took the title from Aussie comic Sarah Kendall, who won series 11.

Previous winners include Ed Gamble, Bob Mortimer, Shirley Ballas, Katherine Ryan and Noel Fielding.
What tasks do celebrities perform on Taskmaster?
The basis of the show is to give the celebrity lineup fairly simple tasks, with points given out for the most inventive ways of completing this.
For example, in Series One, comedians John Widdecombe and Romesh Ranganathan took two different approaches to being asked to eat as much watermelon as they could in one minute.
Widdecombe carefully slices opened the watermelon and scooped out the flesh, while Ranganathan proceeded to smash it on the ground and attempt to eat the smashed up pieces of watermelon from the floor.

Series 13 will promise to provide more hilarious moments like this with a new range of tasks.
