The Fast and the Farmer(ish) will hit screens to provide a twist on the competition format... just don’t expect Vin Diesel driving a combine harvester any time soon.

Here’s everything you need to know about The Fast and the Farmer(ish).

What is The Fast and the Farmer(ish) about?

The show will see teams from across the UK compete against each other to fight for the crown of Britain’s best tractor driving team.

Teams will race each other through a course in an attempt to reach the finals and win the show.

This includes everything from ten pin bowling with a tractor to a karaoke themed obstacle course.

Fiona Campbell, controller of BBC Three, said: “You’re not going to see that on any other channel. Everybody has said that is a show they’ve never seen before.”

Heats will be location based with the first episode showcasing the best tractor drivers England has to offer.

There will also be heats for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales throughout the series.

Who stars in The Fast and the Farmer(ish)?

The reality style show will feature real life agriculture teams from across the country.

In episode one, an all-female Leicestershire outfit dubbed the Diva Drivers will take on Somerset’s Checkshirt Choppers.

The second episode will follow Northern Irish teams, with The Bogmen up against the Determinators.

The West Wales Cowboys will face off against The Chipmunks in the Welsh semi final in episode three.

Who hosts The Fast and the Farmer(ish)?

The show is hosted by full-time farmer and social media star Tom Pemberton.

Tom is well-known to fans for his YouTube channel where he documents life on his Lytham farm.

When is The Fast and Farmer(ish) on?

The show will premiere on Wednesday 9 February at 9pm on BBC Three.

Seven episodes will air as part of the series, with episodes airing weekly in the same time slot.
