The One Show: Vick Hope and Roman Kemp will be joined by Andrea Bocelli and Sofia Carson

The BBC One presenters will be joined by celebrity guests including actress Julianne Moore, Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick and singers Andrea Bocelli and Sofia Carson. Vick Hope and Roman Kemp will be hosting The One Show on Friday evening (October 18). 

Oscar-winning actor Julianne Moore will be on the sofa to discuss her new film, ‘The Room Next Door’. Professor Noel Fitzpatrick will be chatting about the incredible tales of the dogs that have changed lives that he’s encountered during his career.

World-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli and actor & singer Sofia Carson will be performing a live duet. The Italian opera singer and crossover performer is famous for blending opera and pop music, and making opera music more accessible to a wider audience. He is best known for his singles ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ and ‘The Prayer’. 

Why does Andrea Bocelli wear sunglasses? 

The Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is known for wearing sunglasses because he is blind. He was born with glaucoma in one eye and lost sight in the other after being hit in the eye by a ball while playing football at age 12. Glaucoma is a rare condition that damages the optic nerve, which connects the eye to the brain.

Who is Sofia Carson? 

Sofia Carson, is an American actress and singer. Her first appearance on television was as a guest star on the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally. She appeared in all three of the Disney Descendants movies as Evie. In 2022 she starred as Cassie Salazar in the movie Purple Hearts and is about to feature in upcoming movie ‘Carry On’ alongside Taron Edgerton (December 2024). 

The singer recently performed with Andrea’s for the The 30th Anniversary Celebration in Tuscany. She has also sang with Andrea’s son Matteo Bocelli.
