The second season was officially announced in September 2021, with the series being directed once again by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin.
The new trailer, released on Wednesday (28 October) promised a return to the “murder, mayhem and madness”, continuing to follow the large ensemble characters located in Oklahoma and Florida in the United States.

When is Tiger King 2 out on Netflix?
Tiger King 2 will arrive on Netflix on 17 November.
The series will be available to stream in full upon release.
Will Joe Exotic be in Tiger King 2?
According to the official press release of the show, Tiger King 2 will feature a host of returning figures, including Joe Exotic.
In the trailer of the new series, viewers can see Joe Exotic contacting the show’s directors from prison, where is sentenced to 22 years for hatching a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin.
Baskin looks set to appear in the series, with the trailer teasing a deeper dive into the death of her first husband, Don Lewis. It is still uncertain how much the Baskin’s will appear in the new series, after the couple were outspoken in their disapproval of season one.
The trailer also gave the viewers glimpses of Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover and James Garretson.
Doc Antle, who runs Myrtle Beach Safari, probably won’t feature in the second season. Antle expressed his disapproval of the first season. In a Facebook post on the Myrtle Beach Safari account, he said he was “very disappointed” by the documentary. In October 2020, he was indicted on 15 charges, including wildlife trafficking and animal cruelty related to his activity with lions.
What is Tiger King 2 about?
According to Netflix, the official synopsis of the show is:
“With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with Tiger King 2 as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners. Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness. Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait.”
The trailer also hinted at showing how the G.W. Zoo got permanently closed to the public.
