Upload season 2 will launch on Amazon Prime Video on March 11, 2022.

All seven episodes of the sci-fi series will drop at the same time.

The first episode is called Welcome Back Mr. Brown

What is Upload about?

Upload is set in 2033 where humans are able to choose to ‘upload’ their consciousness into a luxury virtual afterlife picked by them.

Computer programmer Nathan dies prematurely and he is uploaded to the very expensive Lake View, but then finds himself under the thumb of his possessive, still-living girlfriend Ingrid.

As Nathan adjusts to the pros and cons of digital heaven, he bonds with Nora, his living customer service rep.

Nora struggles with the pressures of her job, her dying father who does not want to be uploaded, and her growing feelings for Nathan while slowly coming to believe that Nathan was murdered.

Season 2 sees Nora go off the grid into the world of a tech-resistant group, leaving Nathan in Lakeview.

Ingrid (Allegra Edwards), Aleesha (Zainab Johnson) and Luke (Kevin Bigley) are also returning.

Also in season two, Nora’s coworker and recurring character, Ivan (Josh Banday), will become a main character.

Fran Booth (Elizabeth Bowen), who is investigating Nathan’s car accident, was last seen heading off the end of a pier locked in a self-driving car.

This cliffhanger means that fans don’t know whether Fran, Nathan’s awkward cousin, will be back… dead or alive.

Fans will be pleased to see other recurring characters back on their screens, including Nathan’s best friend, Jamie (Jordan Johnson-Hinds), Nora’s father, Dave (Chris Williams), Nathan’s mother, Viv (Jessican Tuck) and Nora’s boss, Lucy (Andrea Rosen).

Of course, Greg Daniels has announced that there will be new characters too.

Paulo Costanzo from Designated Survivor will be joining the cast as Matteo, and Mackenzie Cardwell from another sci-fi drama, Little Fish, will be playing the role of Tinsley.
