Filming for seasons 11 and 12 of the show was significantly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but this latest season has seen a welcome return to normality.
A dozen new bakers have descended on the Bake Off tent to try their hands at tricky technicals, slick signatures and superb showstoppers.
But where is The Great British Bake Off filmed, can you visit the set, and when does the new series air? This is everything you need to know:
Where is The Great British Bake Off filmed?
Season 13 of The Great British Bake Off was filmed under the iconic white tent on the grounds of Welford Park in Berkshire.
Welford Park is a country estate and the large property at the heart of the grounds was built in the mid 17th century.
Welford Park was the main setting of Bake Off from 2014-2019, but production moved to Down Hall in Essex to accommodate necessary Covid-19 restrictions.
As production for season 13 did not require contestants and crew to film in a bubble, filming has returned to Welford Park.
Despite not filming in a bubble, a spokesperson told The Mirror that protocols were still "in place to keep everyone safe".
Other productions at Welford Park include fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and several music videos.
Previous Bake Off filming locations include Fulham Palace, London for season one, Valentines Mansion, Redbridge for season two, and Harptree Court, Somerset for seasons three and four.
Can you visit Welford Park?
Welford Park is a private residence and is not open to the public for most of the year.
However, for almost 50 years the grounds have been open for roughly four weeks a year for visitors to view the snowdrops in bloom.
The estate will be open every Wednesday-Sunday from 1 February - Sunday 5 March 2023.
The grounds will be open from 11am-4pm each day. There is free car parking available near the estate, but there is an admission charge of £12 per adult and £4.50 per child.
In true Bake Off spirit the event will feature a marquee serving homemade cakes as well as hot drinks, homemade soup and a selection of light lunches.
How long does it take to film The Great British Bake Off?
The Great British Bake Off is filmed over a 10-week period from April to June. Some days, contestants can spend 16 hours per day filming.
The show is only filmed on weekends, with each episode being filmed over two days. meaning that contestants can continue their 9-5 job when they take part in the programme.
According to Closer, each contestant bakes a Victoria Sponge in their oven before filming to make sure that all of their equipment is working properly.
Season eight contestant Tom Hetherington told Insider: "It takes quite a long time to film, and I don’t think everyone appreciates how long it takes, but it becomes very exhausting and very stressful."
