The sun shone on the hallowed turf surrounding the world famous Royal Hospital Chelsea as some of the wolrd’s most exclusive cars gathered for the second Salon Prive London. Whether you’re interested in 1000bhp hypercars, supercars, classics or runaround EVs, Salon Prive had something for you.
But one thing it didn’t have was the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, which was due to make its UK public debut. The ground-breaking new all-terrain super sports car got stuck at customs.
Here’s a selection of the headline-grabbing cars which made their appearance in London:
5. Wiessmann Project Thunderball
The Wiesmann Project Thunderball electric roadster, priced from around £260,000, made its UK debut. Described as the world’s first all-electric convertible, the car combines distinctive Wiesmann looks with a modern electric powertrain — two electric motors with a combined output of 670bhp and 811lb ft of torque — delivering a 310-mile EV range and 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds. The electric motors are powered by a 93kWh battery pack. The car will also operate on an 800-volt electrical system and will be compatible with ultra-fast 300kW DC rapid chargers. | Noel Skeats
6. Theon Design Porsche
Oxfordshire-based Theon Design, specialist in bespoke Porsche-based commissions, displayed its latest creation, ITA001, for the first time ahead of being shipped to Italy. Boasting a lightweight carbon body, the bespoke 911 (964) is fitted with a 400bhp 4.0-litre air-cooled flat-six engine and six-speed manual gearbox. Visually stealthy, but with modern features blended in throughout, Theon Design believes it delivers “the ultimate air-cooled Porsche 911 experience”. | Noel Skeats

7. Polestar 2 BST Edition 270
Polestar showed off its 2 BST Edition 270. Powered by the same 78kWh battery and powertrain as the dual-motor Polestar 2 fitted with the optional Performance Pack, the BST Edition 270 delivers 469bhp. It's also 0.1 seconds quicker to 62mph than the car it’s based on, stopping the clock at 4.4 seconds. The BST 270 sits 25mm lower than regular Performance Pack cars and come swith a bespoke suspension set-up from Ohlins, plus bespoke Pirelli P Zero tyres and 20% lighter brakes. It would have set you back £68,990 … but the they’re all sold. Only 40, of the 270 global run, came to the UK. | Harry Elliott

8. The Smallest Cog Chapron Delahaye
The Grand Tour and former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond’s ‘The Smallest Cog’ restoration business displayed a unique Chapron-bodied Delahaye. The company had been commissioned to return the 1947 car to its original livery blue livery after it was painted grey and black during a previous restoration. The car was originally commissioned by Delahaye racing driver Louis Chiron, with Parisian coachbuilder Henri Chapron chosen to build the body. Thereafter it had a handful of owners before enjoying a significant restoration in 2012 when its paint was changed. | Harry Elliott
