Baby names 2022: 10 baby girl and boy names tipped to be popular in the UK this year
Old fashioned and royal inspired baby names are tipped to be hot on trend in 2022
Picking out a baby name can be both an exciting and stressful task for expecting parents, particularly as there are so many names to choose on.
Some parents may already have a moniker in mind for their little one, but for others the process can be difficult as it is a decision you do not want to get wrong.
Many people may turn to family and friends for inspiration and select a name in honour of a loved one, while others might pick out a name from a favourite film, TV show or celebrity.
Last year, old fashioned names saw a resurgence and it is expected this trend could continue into 2022, according to pregnancy and parenting website Babycentre.
The site also expects royal baby names to feature prominently this year as the Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years on the throne.
If you are planning on starting a family, or are already expecting, Babycentre has predicted the top baby names to watch this year. Listed are the 10 names for baby girls and boys tipped to surge in popularity in 2022.
