I love wearing colour and there is no doubt that on days when I feel I need an injection of brightness when it comes to all aspects of my life, wearing something in sunshine yellow or hot pink definitely makes me feel better. It may be coincidence that Kate Middleton chose a bright yellow £359 ' Mya' LK Bennett blazer for a visit to the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust in Bath today ahead of Meghan Markle appearing as a guest of honour at the annual 'Women of Vision Awards' where she will receive a Woman of Vision 2023 award

However, subconsciously, perhaps Kate chose a bright colour in order not necessarily to draw attention to herself personally, but the work of Dame Kelly Holmes? The Princess of Wales met with double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, and took her on in a game of bean-bag noughts and crosses. The pair on opposing teams were joined by pupils from St Katherine’s School in Bristol who are taking part in the On Track to Achieve programme. This specific programme is delivered by their athlete mentor, Paralympic gold medallist Liz Johnson.

According to The Sun, the Princess of Wales “was also joined by Love Island star-turned documentary maker and advocate Zara McDermott-who is an ambassador for the princesses ‘Shaping Us early years campaign-for the engagement to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.”

When it comes to her choice of colour for her blazer today, this is not the first time that the Princess of Wales has demonstrated her love for dopamine dressing. In January this year, she wore a burnt orange Gabriella Hearst top and skirt for a visit to the Foxcubs Nursery in Luton. For the Earthshot Prize in Boston, she chose a vibrant green dress by Solace London that she rented from Hurr.

In October last year, she also chose a yellow Karen Millen Midi Dress when she visited the Royal Surrey County Hospital, so her dopamine dressing penchant had already started in 2022.

If you don’t fancy splurging £359 on the exact Kate Middleton ‘Mya’ blazer she wore, how about these high street dupes I have found you instead?

River Island's Orange Blazer, £50, (although I think it looks more yellow),
