The Kate Effect: Kate Middleton has embraced the 2023 blazer trend for years

Although we are only in February, my thoughts can’t help but turn to spring, and in particular the fashion. The blazer is undoubtedly a very useful piece of clothing in anyone’s wardrobe, but I think it is particularly versatile as the weather (hopefully!) starts to warm up in the coming months.

Kate Middleton is a habitual blazer wearer but is definitely making sure she is on trend as the blazer (particularly the collarless variety) is big news in 2023.

Kate Middleton stepped out in a high street blazer (from Zara) and trainers by Veja when she accompanied Captain Preet Chandi MBE recently to Landau Forte College in Derby.

This is of course not the first time Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing a blazer and in many ways it is her go to signature style look. In February of this year, she wore a grey-toned blazer to a parenting support group in London.

In 2022, Kate wore a royal blue Chanel vintage blazer, circa 1995, when she accompanied Prince William to the Cooper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Park in East London.

Kate Middleton also wore her much loved red Zara blazer while visiting the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project at the University of Copenhagen in February last year.

In case you think blazers are just reserved for the royal family, think again. Hailey Bieber, AKA, Gen-Z’s Queen of Cool is a big fan of them, as is Kendall Jenner and Alexa Chung.

Hailey Bieber wears blazers as you would expect in an effortlessly cool way. She was seen sporting an oversized blazer recently with denim jeans as she left a business meeting with her skincare brand Rhode in Los Angeles.
