London Resort: 10 images of theme park dubbed ‘UK Disneyland’ as building work set to start in 2022
The resort is expected to be three times bigger than any other theme park in the UK
The London Resort is a £3.5 billion theme park coming to the UK, with construction work set to commence from next year.
The resort hopes to open the first park in 2024, with a second park in 2029.
It will be approximately the size of 136 Wembley Stadiums and is the first theme park of its kind in Europe to be built from scratch since the opening of Disneyland Paris in 1992.
Building work is planned on the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent, despite meeting local opposition after the area was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the wildlife.
The resort will be made up of six different ‘lands’: The Studios; The Woods; The Kingdom; The Isles; The Jungle; Star Port.
