Is Sky TV still down? Customers say 'main box back on' but 'mini boxes still not working' - as thousands face problems with TV service
On DownDetector, thousands of Sky users have said they are facing problems with the TV service.
Many Sky users have taken to social media to express issues with the service this morning (January 10). One said: "Anyone else got @skytv SKY TV problems?".
Another wrote: "@skytv seems to be a problem nationally with Sky TV, no satellite signal for many." On DownDetector, some 79% of the problems are related to the TV system, 11% for television streaming and another 10% for Sky internet.
Problems started to be reported in the early hours of this morning after 3am. Just after 6:30am there had been more than 4,000 problems reported on DownDetector.
Users on the site were commenting that the issue was to do with the “main box”. The spike has now dropped showing that services are returning to normal.
Customers are sharing that their main box is back on but there are still troubles with the mini box. One user wrote: “Main box back in in Birmingham but mini boxes still say no signal despite rebooting”.
Another said: “Main box back on but mini boxes still not working”.
