While some people may be experiencing internet issues in specific parts of the country, only TV issues are widespread.

The company is working to reconnect TV to all of those who have not been able to access the service, after what they describe as “a major power outage”.

What does Virgin Media V53 error code mean?

Many Virgin Media TV users may have seen an error code called V53 on their TV screens after boxes across the UK crashed.

The V53 code is used when a channel is not available on the Virgin Media box.

According to the Virgin media website, the error code means that there is an issue with connection or planned works in the area.

Customers will have seen this code as there was an issue with the connection for all of Virgin Media’s TV services.

When will the Virgin Media outage be fixed?

Virgin Media have updated customers throughout the day on work to reconnect TV boxsets.

At 1.45pm, they said that some channels had returned for customer, while many others still had problems.

“We’re working to restore all channels as quickly as possible and continue to work towards having this resolved this afternoon.”

At 3.30pm, Virgin Media issued a further notice, adding that engineers had been working on site to restore TV services, adding: “We are currently attempting to restore more channels. As we do this, it may mean customers temporarily lose access to previously restored channels.
