Lloyds bank: Is Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland app down, what’s the latest?
Lloyds have addressed issues relating to online banking and their app.
Lloyds have taken to X to address issues relating to online banking and their app. The message read: “We’re aware some customers are having issues with our app and online banking. We’re really sorry about this. We’re working hard to fix it and will let you know as soon as we’re back to normal.”
One person wrote: “@lloydsbank How long will it take to fix? I have been locked out of all my accounts. Really bad timing letting this happen in the first few days of the month when people need to pay bills.” Another person wrote: “When is this going to be sorted i’ve been trying to access my bank account for probs nearly 2 hours????”
Customers have been reacting to the news shared by Lloyds on Facebook and one wrote: “Can't check my balance, so I’m just going to manifest that it’s looking healthy. Please take your time fixing it! “
Another customer said: “I assume that you won't be charging me when I go overdrawn later, through no fault of my own?”
Downdetector reported issues with the Lloyds app and one person wrote: “This is ridiculous now! No update from Lloyds, not even an email!! Been nearly 3 hours.”

One person wrote: “Anyone been given an update? The least they could do is release a statement informing us what has happened / fix needed / estimated time etc?”
In March of this year it was revealed by Lloyds bank that an IT glitch had affected almost half a million customers. Reuters reported that the banking group “exposed the personal data of up to 447,936 customers during an IT glitch earlier this month that allowed users to see other customers' transactions, including account details and national insurance numbers, Britain's Treasury Committee said on Friday.
“The incident highlights the vulnerability of Britain's digital banking infrastructure, such as apps and websites, as lenders slash physical branch networks to cut costs and shift customers online.”
