Don’t miss out on your chance to see BTS member Jung Kook performing in the UK, as his single chases the number one spot on the UK Top 40.

K-Pop fans in the UK will be very happy with the sudden announcement that BTS member Jung Kook will be performing live on the BBC’s “The One Show” tomorrow evening, and fans will get the chance to enter a ballot to receive tickets to see the “Seven” singer - for free.

Jung Kook is currently looking to make history for the beloved K-Pop group, who celebrated their ten year anniversary last month with their annual “BTS FESTA,” as the first member of the group to top the UK Singles Chart with his single.

All seven members of the K-pop phenomenon – Jin, Jimin, Suga, Jung Kook, RM, V and J-Hope – have shared solo material, with Jimin setting the bar with a top 10 for “Like Crazy” (peaking at No. 8); he separately landed a top 40 hit with “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” hitting No. 30. Bandmate j-hope was the first member of BTS to secure a U.K. top 40 single, with his J. Cole collaboration “On The Street” peaking at No. 37.

BTS has accumulated nine U.K. top 40 singles, including four top 10s (with a No. 3 best for 2020’s “Dynamite,” plus “Butter” and “My Universe” with Coldplay, both from 2021). Two BTS titles have led the national albums chart.

But “Seven” is, according to the midweek charts in the UK, only 2,000 chart sales behind the current midweek chart leader, Dave and Central Cee’s “Sprinter.” Could his appearance on BBC’s early evening television show help propel him to the top of the UK Top 40 singles chart?

How can I get tickets to see Jung Kook perform on The One Show?

Those wishing to see the BTS member perform will need to visit the Standing Room Only website and register their interest in attending by filling out their application form. According to their website, “successful applicants are randomly selected from amongst those who apply. We aim to email tickets to the successful applicants as quickly as possible.”

“Once the tickets are allocated for a given date, other applications will remain in the waiting list in case of returns and the date will show on the website as 'waiting list only' so that you will know that the tickets for that date have been allocated. We ask everyone who receives tickets to let us know if they cannot attend. If people do this, we can then pass these on. Returns can come in at any time and are also randomly allocated. Therefore we do not email those who have been unsuccessful - they may get returns later if someone else returns their tickets.”

This show will take place on Friday 21st July 2023 and venue details will be sent by email on the day of the show. Ticket holders will be informed as soon as possible if they are successful in the draw though. The nearest station is in Zone 2 in London and doors open at 6.00pm

Those wishing to attend must be aged 16 years or over and photo ID may be requested by security at this event.
