The annual Sunday Times Rich List has been announced today, ahead of the full list appearing in this weekend’s edition of the paper, and with it comes the annual Wealthiest 35 Under 35 in the UK to inspire a younger generation of entrepreneurs… and to make those of us over the age of 35 slightly envious.

Topping the list for 2023 is no real surprise if you’re an avid reader of Peopleworld, with The Duke of Westminster landing at the number one position with a net worth of £9.878 billion - £7 billion more than his closest rival, Lady Charlotte Wellesley.

While we were expecting Adele, given her residency in Las Vegas, to be the highest ranking entertainer under 35 in the UK, that distinct honour instead goes to Ed Sheeran whose net worth is £300 million GBP - £135 million GBP more than Adele, with Harry Styles not too far behind with a net worth of £150 million GBP.

How Ed Sheeran earned more revenue than Adele stems from the release of the final album of his mathematical series alongside the release of his documentary, Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All, earlier this month on Disney+. We would no doubt anticipate that should Adele release her long-rumoured new album, perhaps this time next year it would be a different story.

Other entertainers that have made it into the 35 under 35 list includes Dua Lipa, who made her money with her podcasting and modelling endeavours alongside her musical career, Daniel Radcliffe purely based on the revenue he’s made through his acting roles and his Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson, primarily through her investment firm Hestia Hebe.

The full Sunday Times Rich List will be published this Sunday, but those who don’t buy newspapers anymore can check out the list online from this morning.
