Mum throws Christmas-mad daughter festive birthday party in July as UK swelters in summer heat
One festive-loving mum decided December couldn’t come soon enough for her daughter — so she brought Christmas to Birmingham in the height of summer
A Christmas-mad girl was left completely gobsmacked after her mum surprised her with a festive birthday bash — in the middle of July.

Chelsea White, a self-confessed “proper Christmas girly”, decided to give her eight-year-old daughter Neveah a December 25-inspired celebration for her birthday on July 29.
And while Brits were sweating through the summer heat, the White family home was transformed into a Christmas wonderland.
The mum-of-four splashed just £25 on decorations from Temu, including a Christmas tree, tinsel, baubles, lights, banners and festive wrapping paper.
She also added an inflatable Santa, a Christmas bow balloon and plenty of red decorations before blasting out Christmas tunes for the big reveal.
Neveah, who is just as obsessed with Christmas as her mum, was completely stunned when she came downstairs and discovered the surprise.
She said: “I wasn't really expecting it because it's summer, so I was a bit shocked that it was Christmas themed.
“It was just amazing. When I saw the red confetti on the door I was like, ‘What could this be?’
“Then I opened the door and I saw it was literally just full of Christmas.”

The youngster is apparently so festive-mad that she recently dressed up as Mrs Claus in the garden and regularly gets her mum to wrap boxes so she can pretend to deliver presents.
Chelsea, 32, said: “Neveah is exactly the same all year round.
“It was only last week she was in the garden wearing a full Mrs Claus outfit.”
The customer assistant said she always creates a theme for her children’s birthdays, but Christmas seemed the obvious choice this year after months of her daughter talking about the festive season.
“I wanted to do a tacky Christmas because I feel like she loves the proper traditional one,” Chelsea said.
The surprise went down a storm with Neveah, who declared it the best birthday theme her mum could have chosen.
But not everyone was convinced.
Four-year-old Jordan was reportedly confused and thought it was actually Christmas Day, while Neveah’s 10-year-old brother Tyler was less than impressed.
Chelsea said: “My eldest, he was just like, ‘This is so embarrassing.’
“He’s so ‘no, until it’s December you can’t play Christmas songs, you can’t put decorations up’.”
Chelsea’s TikTok video of the unusual celebration racked up more than 8,000 likes, shares and comments, with friends branding the festive-loving pair “crazy”.
Online commenters, however, were firmly on Team Christmas, with one praising it as a “fab birthday” and another revealing they had celebrated their own Christmas-themed 30th birthday — also in July.
Looks like for some families, Christmas really can come twice a year.
