21. Esther Afrifa.
A woman was jailed for 14 years for a horrific acid attack on a man which left him disfigured for life and needing months of surgery. Esther Afrifa, 28, was at her victim’s house when she threw acid in his face, inflicting life-changing injuries to his eyes, head, face and upper body. The 27-year-old man ran out into the street screaming before police found him outside Wembley Central Station, London, suffering from serious acid wounds around 9.00am on 22 December, 2019. He needed months of treatments and surgery for his life-changing injuries.
22. Jordan Monaghan
Triple killer Jordan Monaghan must serve 40 years in prison before parole as he was given three mandatory life sentences for smothering two of his children to death and murdering his new partner with a drugs overdose. Monaghan, of Blackburn, was convicted of three murders, the first by smothering his daughter Ruby, aged 24 days, as she slept in a Moses basket on New Year’s Day 2013.Eight months later he smothered his 21-month-old son Logan in a public swimming baths cubicle. Six years after that, he murdered his new partner Ms Adams with a drugs overdose.

Thomas Schreiber was jailed for at least 36 years for the murder of millionaire hotelier Sir Richard Sutton and the attempted murder of his own mother. The trial heard Schreiber was angry with his mother for “abandoning” his father, who suffered from depression, to move in with Sir Richard.He carried out the knife attack on the pair on 7 April 2021 – the eighth anniversary of the death of his alcoholic father David Schreiber – after he said his mother Anne Schreiber shouted at him for being “drunk like his father”.
