A knife-wielding 31-year-old man who stabbed his own brother to death before asking police "what am I going to say to my dad?" has been jailed.
Thamraze Khan, 31, knifed his younger brother Kamran Khan in the back during a clash after a house party in November 2020, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

Speaking after the sentencing, Jude Ashmore of South Yorkshire Police, said: “I would like to offer my condolences to Kamran’s family and friends as these proceedings will undoubtedly have been both difficult and distressing for them.
“To lose a loved one is always heartbreaking, but the circumstances of this case make it particularly upsetting for those affected, and my thoughts are with them all."

Thamraze was immediately identified as a suspect in the murder, with police finding bloodstains throughout his flat while he was wearing a latex glove on his hand, which appeared to have blood inside.
The judge said Thamraze was aware of the stabbing, saying in court:
“From the start, Thamraze made comments to officers that he was fully aware that someone had been stabbed and that it was his younger brother who was the victim.
