A slim YouTuber has claimed a new UK competitive eating record after wolfing down TEN sausage and fried egg-filled bagels in less than five minutes.
A SLIM YouTuber has claimed a new UK eating record after demolishing a whopping TEN bagels in less than five minutes.
Max Stanford, better known online as Max vs Food, powered through ten sausage and fried egg-stuffed bagels in an astonishing four minutes and 40 seconds.
The 38-year-old tackled the enormous challenge at Sabsdeli in Romford, Essex, on August 15, taking on a staggering 5,900-calorie feast.
And Max didn't just finish the challenge — he absolutely blitzed his closest rival.
Fellow competitive eater JJ Da Lion crossed the finish line in six minutes and ten seconds, meaning Max beat him by a whopping 90 seconds.
Franco, of Franco's Feasts, also took part but couldn't quite conquer the mammoth meal, failing to finish all ten five-inch bagels.
The impressive victory also proved lucrative, with Max walking away with a £300 cash prize.
JJ scooped £150 for second place, while Franco took home £50.
Craig Harker, founder and president of the British Eating League, hailed Max's performance as extraordinary and claimed the YouTuber is currently in a league of his own.
He said: “What Max is achieving right now is phenomenal and something we've never seen before in UK competitive eating.”
Craig added that Max's speed and capacity appeared to be improving with age, describing him as the UK's number one competitive eater.
The bragging rights don't end there, with Max having already won four consecutive British Eating League Championships and reportedly setting his sights on an incredible fifth title.
Craig said the growing popularity of competitive eating in Britain, along with venues such as Sabsdeli hosting events, was helping the sport continue to expand.
But despite Max's astonishing performance, he still has some way to go before challenging the reported world record.
Geoffrey Esper is said to hold the world record for bagel eating after consuming 17.75 bagels with cream cheese in eight minutes in 2023.
For now, though, Max can celebrate a spectacular victory — and one seriously impressive bagel binge.
