Video showing how dogs react when their owners give them a kiss leaves TikTok users ‘sobbing’ with joy

They say that the love of a pet is one of the greatest things we can feel, but what happens when us humans show our dogs some love too?

One TikTok user decided to find out and asked numerous people to film what happened when they gave their pet pooches a kiss. He then put the clips of the results in to a video and published it to the social media platform so users could watch.

The reactions are sweet, heartwarming and funny and many people have been loving watching them. The first video proved to be so popular, in fact, that a second was published shortly afterwards.

What does the video show?

The two videos each show several people kissing their dogs and then simply waiting for their reaction.

The reaction from the pooches are mixed, some affectionately nuzzle in to their owner’s face, while others give them a lick on their nose - which we can assume is the closest a dog can get to giving a kiss.

Other dogs, however, seem less impressed with the kiss. Some simply stare at their owners, looking rather bewildered, while others pull some funny faces as they try to work out what just happened. One of the dogs did, however, give their owner a big smile - suggesting that our pets love to get affection from us just as much as we like to receive it from them.

The first video proved to be so popular, he decided to post a second video, with each one showing a handful of people planting a kiss on their beloved pet and waiting to see how they respond.

How did people respond on TikTok?

People have responded with joy to the videos, which have a total of over 10million likes and almost 70K comments between them at the time of writing.

One person said they found one of the videos so lovely they were “sobbing hysterically”. Another person said “I love all dogs”, while another said watching the video had made them want to own a dog themselves.

Another commenter said they kiss their dog every day and questioned if other pet owners do the same.

Fellow dog owners shared what their dogs did when they kissed their pet. One person said their dog kissed them back, but another said their dog just looked at them and waited for their tummy to be stroked.
