Who is Brooklyn Beckham, and how old is he?

Brooklyn Joseph Beckham is the eldest son of former footballer David Beckham and Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

He was born on 4 March 1999 in Westminster, London, and is 23-years-old.

David Beckham has previously referred to himself as “half Jewish” due to his descent.

He has three younger siblings; two brothers, Romeo, aged 19, and Cruz, aged 17, and one sister, 10-year-old Harper.

After Brooklyn’s birth, it was rumoured that he was named after the place he was conceived, supposedly Brooklyn, New York.

In Victoria Beckham’s 2001 autobiography, Learning to Fly, however, she revealed that the name was chosen only because she and David Beckham liked it.

She did say, however, that after they had chosen the name they "realised how appropriate it was” because it was in New York that she found out she was pregnant.

What does Brooklyn Beckham do for work?

Beckham’s first career of choice was modelling.

He began modelling professionally in 2014 at the age of 15 and has appeared in editorials and on covers for various magazines including Vogue China, Miss Vogue, Interview, L’Uomo Vogue, T:The New York Times Style Magazine.

In 2016, Beckham announced he would be following in the footsteps of younger brother Romeo and modelling for luxury British fashion brand, Burberry.

Romeo had appeared in the brand’s 2015 Christmas advert.

Burberry’s decision to hire Beckham was, however, met with criticism from established photographers due to his inexperience.

Fashion photographer Chris Floyd told the Guardian at the time that it was a “devaluation of photography” that showed a lack of respect for hardworking, experienced professionals.

Beckham currently appears to work as a chef, although again this hasn’t been without controversy.

In 2021, he teamed up with Facebook to create Cookin’ With Brooklyn, an eight-part cooking series.

However, an article in the Independent revealed that Beckham allegedly has 62 professionals to help him produce the show, and has no professional cookery training.

Nicola Anne Peltz, aged 27, is Brooklyn Beckham’s wife.

The couple, who are believed to have started dating in 2019, announced their engagement in July 2020 via a post on Brooklyn’s official Instagram page.

Peltz describes herself as an actress, writer and director on her official Instagram page.

She is known for roles on the small screen and the big screen.

She made her acting debut in 2006 Christmas film Deck the Halls, but is most well known for her roles in TV series Bates Motel (2013 to 2015) and the 2014 film Transformers: Age of Extinction.

She was born on 9 January 1995 in Westchester County, New York, in to a Jewish household.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding took place in the afternoon of Saturday 9 April 2022 at one of Peltz’s family mansions in Palm Springs, Florida, and reportedly cost around £3million.

The Palm Springs mansion is rumoured to be a sprawling 44,000 square foot home worth around £76 million and is right on the beach.

The pair had a Jewish wedding as they have both been brought up in homes with a Jewish influence.

Beckham revealed previously that he would wear a Yarmulke, a cloth traditionally worn by Jewish males to fulfil the religious requirement that the head be covered as a sign of respect to God.

As they settled in life as a new Mr and Mrs, Beckham and Peltz gave their fans an insight in to their big day by sharing some photos of their personal Instagram pages.

One photo Beckham and Peltz shared on their respective Instagram pages was a black and white shot of them making their debut as husband and wife at their wedding reception, with a happy-looking Beckham leading his beaming bride through the party.

Confirming that they have chosen to double barrel their surnames, they both captioned the image “Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham”.

In an interview with Vogue magazine for Valentine’s Day 2022, the couple previously said they were “excited” for their big day.

Beckham added: “I’m definitely gonna cry.”
