DaniLeigh, whose real name is Danielle Leigh Curiel, is a 26 year old rapper, dancer and choreographer.

She began her career posting covers of songs on YouTube and caught her big break after she moved to Los Angeles and started choreographing and backup dancing for artists like Pharrell and Nelly Furtado.

At 18 years old, DaniLeigh directed the music video for Breakfast Can Wait by Prince in 2013.

In 2017, she was signed to Def Jam Records, where she began releasing her own mixtapes and singles. Her first successful single was titled Play, and she released her first EP that year called Summer With Friends.

The following year she released The Plan, which features appearances from rappers like Lil Yachty and YG.

DaniLeigh made an appearance in Megan Thee Stallion’s music video for Hot Girl Summer in 2019, and later that year she choreographed the music video BOP on Broadway by DaBaby.

How old is their baby?

DaniLeigh and DaBaby (real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk) have a three month old daughter together, who was born in August.

She announced her pregnancy earlier this year in July by posting a, now deleted, photo on Instagram.

Speculation first started to circulate that DaBaby was the father when he was spotted liking the pregnancy announcement on Instagram.

These rumours were further fuelled after DaniLeigh posted a photo of her baby bump with the caption “#babiggest”, which fans believed referred to the rapper.

It was then revealed that DaBaby had used the “#dabiggest” hashtag on Twitter the day before DaniLeigh used it on Instagram.

The two were heard exchanging insults whilst she fed their newborn baby.

In one clip that was live streamed from DaniLeigh’s account, and later widely shared on Twitter, she can be seen being asked to leave the premises by police.

In the clip, she can be heard saying: “Where’s he at? Where’s he at? He wanna call the f**king cops on me for whatever the f**k reason.”

When the police try to talk to her, DaniLeigh says: “No, I don’t need to tell you nothing. You can talk to him cause he wanna call you guys. Go ahead.”

What did DaBaby say?

In a lengthy post on his Instagram story, DaBaby explained that he wanted to be removed from the “hostile” environment.

He wrote: “Based on my reputation, with multiple threats of setting up an internet scheme and a person refusing to not let me go… me and somebody else here knew to record [DaniLeigh].

“I don’t beat on and yelled at and chased around like one of them fatal love attraction type girls.”

The rapper said that he had wanted DaniLeigh “peacefully removed”.

In her own statement on her Instagram story, DaniLeigh claimed that she had been living with DaBaby for three months whilst she was early on in her pregnancy.

She said that DaBaby had broken up with her, but then he got back into a relationship with her “like a dummy”.

She ended her note by including an apology to their daughter, “whose father is kicking her out her home at three months”.

What has she been charged with?

Police in the United States have said that DaniLeigh has been charged with two counts of assaulting her partner, DaBaby.

The CMPD said that “upon arrival, the victim, [DaBaby], advised that he had been assaulted by his girlfriend, [DaniLeigh]”.

Police initially told DaBaby to pursue charges himself, but he then called them again the following morning.

The CMPD said that it had “obtained additional information” that has led to charging DaniLeigh with two counts of simple assault.
