Roy was a Scottish DJ from Dumfries, and was best known for his work DJing on the Ibiza club circuit. He was also a producer who released records on labels like Ultra, Toolroom, Skream’s Of Unsound Mind, Under No Illusion and Patrick Topping’s Trick.

Chatting to Size? in 2020, Roy talked about starting his music career running club nights in Dumfries whilst he was still working as a plumber.

He said: “I started off running nights in my home town of Dumfries, I eventually left my job as a plumber to spend a summer in Ibiza, I managed to get a job selling tickets for We Love at the legendary space.

“It snowballed from there really, playing out regularly on the west end to getting offered a residency with Steve Lawler at Viva Warriors in 2015, then on to Residencies with Do Not Sleep and Dance or Die at Ushuaïa."
