Who is Hailey Baldwin?

Hailey Baldwin, also known as Hailey Baldwin Bieber, is an American model and media personality, and is the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Deodato.

She was born on 22 November 1996, in Tucson, Arizona. As a teenager she attended the American Ballet Theatre in New York, with aspirations of becoming a classic ballet dancer.

However, a foot injury made this dream no longer achievable. Prior to the injury, she performed for the Miami City Ballet.

The first modelling agency that Baldwin signed with was Ford Models, which led to appearances in the likes of Tatler, LOVE, V and i-D. In the winter of 2014, she made her runway debut walking for Topshop.

In January 2015, she was photographed for American Vogue, and then a few months later, again for Teen Vogue. The following year she appeared in campaigns for high profile brands like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Philipp Plein.

Balwin went on to sign with the New York modelling agency IMG Models in 2016, leading to appearing on the cover of Marie Claire, walking for Moschino and taking part in New York Fashion Week. In 2019, Baldwin became the face of Levi Jeans.

Outside of modelling, Baldwin has also undertaken hosting work. In the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards, she revealed the winner of the Best Music Video Award, alongside Bianca Balti and rapper Tinie Tempah.

In 2017, she started hosting the TBS show Drop the Mic, with rapper Method Man.

She has been nominated for five Teen Choice Awards for categories including “Choice Female Hottie”, “Choice Model” and “Choice TV Personality”.

When did she marry Justin Bieber?

The pair first met in 2009, and between December 2015 and January 2016, Baldwin and Bieber dated briefly before splitting up. They then got back together in June 2018, and by July 2018 they were engaged.

Their wedding took place in November that same year, and now the two live together in Bieber’s home country of Canada.

Speaking to Demi Lovato during an appearance on 4D with Demi Lovato, she said she doesn’t mind it when people refer to her as “Justin Bieber’s wife”.

She said: “When you marry someone that is really well known, you also accept that a lot of the time people are going to be like: “Oh yeah, that’s blah, blah, blah’s wife”.

“At the end of the day, it doesn’t bother me when somebody’s like, “Oh, like, you’re Justin’s wife”. I’m like, yeah, I’m Justin’s wife!

“Because where’s the lie? We’re literally married.”

Baldwin added, however, it does annoy her when someone tries to say that “people wouldn’t know who you were if you weren’t his wife”.

She said: “I have all my own work relationships, I do my own thing, I have my own job, I make my own money.”

Who is her father Stephen Baldwin?

Stephen Baldwin is the youngest of the four Baldwin brothers - Alec Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin and William Baldwin.

He is an actor, producer and director and has appeared in films like The Usual Suspects, Last Exit to Brooklyn, Posse, Threeome, 8 Seconds and Fred Clause. He made his film debut in The Beast.

He met his wife in 1987 and married in 1990, and the two have two daughters together - Hailey and Alaia, who is also a model.

In 2006, Stephen Baldwin published his book The Unusual Suspect, which details his life story and explores his days of drug abuse and eventually becoming a born-again Evangelical following the September 11 attacks in 2001.
