Those of you who are unfamiliar with European Royals, Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, is the wife of Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark and the couple have four children together. Over the years, she has often been compared to Kate Middleton as the pair not only look physically similar, but seem to dress in a similar fashion too.

According to Vogue, “the royals share a wry understanding of the relationship between fashion, image and diplomacy. Their reputation as trendsetters emerges from this nexus, which they occupy effortlessly. Perhaps it’s no wonder, then, that Kate and Mary often end up mirroring each other with their ensembles.”

Last February, Kate Middleton reunited with Denmark’s Princess Mary when she visited Copenhagen. The Princess of Wales received an official welcome from Queen Margrethe, alongside her daughter-in-law, Mary at Christian 1X’s Palace in Copenhagen.

The duo are also not only connected through their style but they share common interests. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Kate visited Denmark “to build on her childcare knowledge and better understand the country’s world-leading approach to the early-years development of children.”

This has clearly fed into Kate setting up her newly established Royal Foundation’s Centre for Childhood and of course her well publicised initiative, Shaping Us.
