Whilst Buckingham Palace have now updated the line of succession on their website with the new titles, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Meghan Markle was spotted on International Women’s Day yesterday leaving Gracias Madre in West Hollywood.

The restaurant has two locations, one in West Hollywood and the other in Newport Beach. According to the website Totally LA, “Gracias Madre opened with the goal of bringing healthy, sustainable organic plant-based foods to its clientele. The idea for the trendy restaurant was to bring the authentic organic Mexican foods to California.”

As she left the restaurant, Meghan Markle, dressed in an all black ensemble (aside from the cream Valentino mules), was all smiles for the camera. When it came to her other accessories, Meghan Markle chose a black and white Chanel handbag that is reported to retail for $6400.

Meghan is believed to have joined friends for lunch and it would be interesting if the ‘unnamed godmother’ at Lilibet’s christening was also a guest at the table.

It is not surprising however that Meghan chose to eat at vegan restaurant Gracias Madre as she is believed to follow a vegan diet during the week but is reported to be more ‘flexible’ at weekends According to French Vogue, “Meghan loves to cook and sticks to organic vegetables and superfoods to maintain her ultra-toned figure, including green juices, avocado toasts and chia seed pudding.”

So what could Meghan Markle have chosen to eat at Gracias Madre? On their website, the restaurant offers a pre-fixe lunch for $35 a head from 11am to 3pm. For starters, I am thinking she might have opted for Colifor, the website describes it as “deep fried cauliflower, cashew nacho cheese, pea shoots, pepitas, lemon and Aleppo pepper.”

When it comes to main courses, guests are able to choose from such dishes as a Wet Burrito, a Mushroom Quesadilla, Tacos, or Potato Pimiento Flautas. For dessert, dishes such as Mexican Fruit Salad, Chocolate Brownie and Tres Leches Cakes are on offer.

Perhaps Meghan was all smiles when she left as she might have opted for Chocolate Brownie? This would certainly be my dessert choice if I ever happen to be at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood one day.
