A young mum-of-three has died from sepsis caused by Covid, after she put off getting vaccinated because she was ‘too busy’.

Danni Coombs, 25, tragically passed away on July 15 in Milton Keynes hospital, leaving behind her fiance, Adam, a boy of two and two young girls, aged four and seven.

Her family has said how she “kept putting off” getting the vaccine, which could have saved her life.

Danni’s aunt, Kelly Coombs, said: "Like many people, she kept putting it off because she was busy with other things.

"She was also slightly nervous about it, but her mum and Adam had even arranged to take her there. Before they had a chance, she caught Covid and it was too late.

“The message Danni would want to get across, loud and clear, is that people should not delay getting their Covid vaccinations like she did.

"If Danni had been vaccinated, she probably may have still caught Covid. But she would not have got it so badly that it cost her life."

‘A fighting chance’

Kelly has set up a fundraising page to help support Danni’s widower, Adam, who has had to give up his work as an electrician to care for their three children.

Writing on the GoFundMe page, Kelly said: “Danni’s fiancé has become a single parent, unable to return to work, as having 3 children aged between 2 and 7; overnight becoming a stay at home dad.

“Danni and her partner always put their children first and despite not having much money, they always provided well for them and gave them a good life. Living in a 2 bedroom property, they gave up their bedroom to the children and slept in the living area.

“I do not know of a more deserving family and I desperately want to give them a fighting chance to be able to deal with all the difficulties ahead.

“Please donate whatever you can for this devastated family to give them some comfort in the knowledge they’ll have some financial security. And maybe eventually a break away for them.”
