It would seem that Prince William no longer has to look away from polls about his popularity. Only a few months ago an Ipsos Mori poll revealed that Prince William’s popularity had plummeted the most as his it had declined by eight percentage points.
However, it would seem that with the coronation fast approaching, things are looking up for Prince William, thanks to a new poll by YouGov. The general public were asked between March 18 and March 20 if their opinion of the royal family was positive or negative.

He was then followed by his spouse, with 70 percent of respondents having positive opinions of the Princess of Wales.”
It is interesting to note that Princess Anne also had a positive rating of 70 per cent, so tied with Kate Middleton. King Charles’s popularity came in at 63 per cent, while his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, had a positive rating of 48 per cent.
In the last few months, it would appear that Prince William and Kate Middleton have become increasingly busy in their roles as senior members of the royal family (perhaps as a direct result of Prince William and his senior advisers wanting to combat his decline in popularity following the fall out of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare?)
Or perhaps Prince William is simply fulfilling his role as heir to the throne as his father King Charles’s coronation rapidly approaches? He recently travelled to Poland to meet British and Polish troops.

Prince William’s trip to Poland was seen as a ‘surprise visit.’ According to the BBC, “Prince William’s visit to Rzeszow in south-eastern Poland was kept under wraps over security concerns until he left and arrived in the capital Warsaw.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton have also been keen to show the general public recently that despite being senior members of the royal family, they are still just a ‘family.’
On Mother’s Day last weekend, they shared a casual photograph of Kate on their Instagram (dressed in denim) alongside her children Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George (also dressed very casually).

Although it has been reported that King Charles has removed the requirement for royal dukes to kneel before him, it is expected that as heir to the throne Prince William will still kiss his father’s right cheek and touch the crown (which was also part of the tradition).
