It was a touching tribute to Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana that he and Meghan Markle announced her second pregnancy on Valentine’s Day 2021. The reason why is because Princess Diana revealed that she was pregnant with Prince Harry (her second pregnancy) on the 13th February.

It is believed that she released the news before Valentine’s Day so that the world’s media could run the news on their front covers on the 14th February.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their pregnancy news on Valentine’s Day by releasing a black and white photograph, shot by photographer Misan Harriman, a long time friend of the couple.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson for the couple said.

The black and white photograph was shot remotely on an iPad from London by Misan. On Instagram, he wrote: “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this long story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow.”

Speculation has been growing that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might potentially announce that they are announcing a third child this Valentine’s Day.

Although they are expected to attend King Charles’s coronation in May, royal fans have been muting the idea that if they don’t go, it will be because Meghan Markle might be pregnant and would be unable to travel.

Victoria Beckham is another celebrity who announced she was pregnant on Valentine’s Day. Last year, she shared a throwback to 1998 on Instagram by sharing a photograph of herself hugging David on the day they found out they were expecting their first child, Brooklyn.

The caption read: “1998 in NYC! And still my Valentine 24 years later taken on the day we found out I was pregnant with Brooklyn Beckham! (tagging him) I love you (with a tag) David Beckham

This year for Valentine’s Day, Victoria Beckham shared another photograph of herself with David and this year said: “26 years and still my Valentine, I love you so much.” She then tagged David Beckham, and their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
