Ahead of his interview with Nigel Farage on GB News at 7pm tonight, the ‘old friends’ were seen laughing with one and according to the Daily Mail, “the two appeared to meet in Trump’s Turnberry hotel on Scotland’s west coast.”

It is of no real surprise that Donald Trump has decided to give an interview to Nigel Farage as the pair enjoy a long-standing friendship. GB News reveals that the “the 30-minute one-on-one interview will be broadcast during a special edition of Nigel’s regular show, broadcast live from Trump’s Turnberry estate at 19:00 BST (14:00 EST) tonight, Wednesday 3rd May.”

Nigel Farage and Donald Trump’s friendship is believed to have started during Trump’s presidential campaign back in 2016 and Nigel Farage played quite the coup when he became the first British politician to meet him following his election as President of the United States.

In 2016, Sky News said that “The one-on-one meeting-which is likely to irk Downing Street-took place at Trump Tower in New York.” After the meeting, Nigel Farage tweeted that Donald Trump was “relaxed and full of good ideas.” He also revealed that “I’m confident he will be a good President.”

In 2021, Nigel Farage travelled to Florida to interview Donald Trump as part of a two-hour GB News special. Although it was watched by only 1.3% of British viewers at the time, it surpassed figures for the BBC and Sky News. It also significantly boosted viewing figures for GB News.

The Daily Express reported that Nigel Farage said of his upcoming interview with Donald Trump tonight that “We’ll talk about the President’s view on the state of Scotland; the Royal Family ahead of the Coronation; his personal legal issues in the United States; his take on British politics; especially on Rishi Sunak’s leadership so fair’ and of course his future political plans.”
