A24 closure: Roads in Surrey and M25 services closed after 'significant oil spill' by lorry
According to the BBC, a lorry has leaked oil along the A24 from Beare Green to Leatherhead and then on to the M25 at junction nine.
Cobham services have also been closed. Surrey Police said there’s been "significant fuel spillage", and roads are likely to be closed "for some time" as drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

Surrey Highways wrote on X: “Please avoid the A24 northbound between Beare Green and Leatherhead as there has been a significant fuel spillage. Road closures are in place, and the affected areas are likely to be closed for some time with further updates to follow. Thanks for your patience.”
Motorway Cameras said the traffic will likely return to normal between 11.15am and 11.40am.
